Työpajoissa käsitellään yleisiä työelämätaitoja, joita tarvitaan kaikissa työympäristöissä: mm. viestintää ja vuorovaikutusta, ryhmässä työskentelyä, organisointikykyä, ajankäytön hallintaa sekä palautteen antamista ja saamista. Työpajojen aikana tarkastellaan opiskelijoiden tähänastisten opintojen ja työkokemusten kautta kertyneitä taitoja sekä sitä, miten nämä taidot tuodaan esille esimerkiksi työnhakutilanteessa. Kesätyö, jonka kesto on oltava vähintään 1 kk, voi olla minkä alan työtä tahansa. Kesätyön ohessa opiskelijat tekevät heille annetut tehtävät, jotka liittyvät työympäristöön, työturvallisuuteen tai vaikkapa työntekijöiden keskinäiseen vuorovaikutukseen. Kurssin lopussa opiskelijat raportoivat kesätyön aikana kertyneistä kokemuksista rinnastaen niitä omien työelämätaitojen karttumiseen. Raportit arvioidaan kahdella tapaa: sekä opettajan toimesta että vertaisarvioinnilla.

Workshops will address the generic working life skills which are needed in every working environment. Communication, social interaction, group work, organizing, time management, giving and receiving feedback are among the topics studied. The skills and experiences the students have obtained already, will be recognized and considered in terms of how to best present them when applying for a job for instance. The summer job, which needs to last at least 1 month, can be of any branch. During the summer job, the students will have assignments concerning working life related issues, e.g. safety, working environment or interactions between people at the working place. By the end of the course the students will write a report to describe their experiences reflecting the development of their working life skills. Reports will be evaluated by the teacher and also by a fellow student. Thus also giving constructive feedback to a fellow student will be practiced.- Opettaja: Kaija Autio
