Welcome to the Learning analytics as a support for teachers and students -course! This course is the first part of LA summer studies provided by the university of Oulu. Teachers of this course are Anni Silvola (Faculty of Education and Psychology) and Satu Tamminen (Faculty of Electrical engineering).
After participation in the course:
* Students know learning
analytics' definition, goals, stakeholders, applications and possible
advantages and challenges as well as its related fields.
* Students
can analyze the use of learning analytics as a support for learning,
teaching and guidance. Students know different purposes and pedagogical
approaches for using LA with different stakeholder groups.
* Students can critically evaluate the limitations of data use and improve data literacy skills.

Students get competencies to design, utilize and evaluate LA use as
part of different pedagogical processes. Students can design and use LA
for teaching and guidance in their own working environments.
