Adverse events occur not because people intentionally hurt patients. Adverse events occur due to the complexity of today's healthcare systems, especially in developed countries. Successful treatment and outcome in healthcare depend on several factors and not just the competence of one individual healthcare provider. This course prepares you to understand patient safety at an advanced level using several forms of pedagogical reasoning.
There are four modules of the course. Each module contains theoretical concepts on the topic and a task for completion before proceeding to the next module. All tasks are mandatory. The final part of this course is an online exam.
