Building on the foundation of identifying and evaluating research-based business ideas, this course provides PhD students with hands-on experience in refining an idea from their own field.
Participants will apply the NABC (Need, Approach, Benefits, Competition) model to conduct a concise business analysis, explore market potential, and practice pitching.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
· Identify a concrete idea from their research field and define its unique value proposition
· Apply the NABC model to validate market need, outline a feasible approach, articulate core benefits, and assess the competitive landscape
· Develop a compelling pitch that resonates with potential collaborators, funders, or stakeholders
· Refine their idea through structured feedback and iterative improvement
