Course continues the development of the quantum mechanical frame-of-mind. After the course, the student can solve different physical eigenvalue problems by using matrices, can calculate the quantum numbers of the system, and can estimate the effect of a perturbation. The student can also solve problems that arise in low-energy scattering. Additionally, the course gives an introduction to modern quantum mechanical topics such as entanglement and quantum measurements.
