During the course you will get an overview of different areas of research within the wide field of English Language Studies. In addition, you will familiarize yourself with various research methods. At the beginning of the course, you will create a learning journal based on the course readings. The course readings and assignments will help you to begin your path on conducting linguistic research. At the end of the course, you will apply the new knowledge by writing an academic essay on a linguistics research project.
