This Intermediate course is worth 5 credits

During the course, students will begin by working on ‘textual interventions’ (Rob Pope) to develop an understanding of the conventions of a range of non-academic genres. This writing will take place in class, and will be accompanied by training in studying techniques such as mind-mapping, the pomodor technique and storyboarding. Students will be expected to share work in progress with their peers, and provide feedback on one another’s work. The final assessment is based on a portfolio in which students develop four of the drafts.
