Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • analyse the interaction between humans and different technologies and systems
  • identify human factors related to above interaction
  • identify different discomforts, physical and psychosocial loads and risks for hazards arising from this interaction
  • apply different means and methods to develop human-technology interaction and to manage adverse effects arising from this interaction
  • distinguish and interpret individual and organisational capabilities required when considering, applying and using different technologies efficiently and safely
  • identify and assess different risks that may relate to new technologies

Contents:

human factors, human-machine-interaction, human-technology-interaction, risk management, discomfort and load factors, human organisational capabilities, human-centered design, complex systems, socio-technical systems.

Learning activities and teaching methods:

Mode of delivery Face-to-face (online) teaching Lectures 18 h, group work 60 h and independent studying and weekly assignments 56 h.
