• This course comprises practical pedagogical training aimed at teaching and communicating science, with an emphasis on practical biochemistry classes for biochemistry (or medical students) or presentation of biochemistry subject to students in upper secondary school. 
  • The theoretical component comprises sessions with responsible laboratory assistants or staff members organizing school visits. Before each practical session, students need to go through/prepare the material that will be covered and the learning outcomes of each practical. 
  • The practical component includes practical sessions connected with agreed laboratory course or presentations for visitors etc. In all of these practical sessions the student tutors will be responsible for supervising a small group of biochemistry students or equivalent. 

  • After the practical components students will be required to present learning diary* each time and self-reflect on their teaching experience. Self-reflection will be asked only after the first practical part. Student can combine many smaller tasks to one study credit.
